Programme Visit to Italy 10-16 April 2011

Monday 11/04/2011: AOSTA and FENIS

• Morning: meeting at school at 8; brief tour of Liceo Classico
• 9:30 -12:15 guided tour of Aosta
• 12:30 welcome party at school (brief welcome by our Headmaster, Councillor of Culture and Councillor of Environment) + buffet lunch.
• 15:30 guided visit to Fenis castle (by bus)
• Free time in Aosta (shops close at 7.30 pm)
• Pizza in a local restaurant

Tuesday 12: AOSTA VALLEY

• Whole day trip: visit to a dam / hydroelectric power plant + visit to Gran Paradiso National Park (or other, depending on weather conditions) (by bus; packed lunch)
• Dinner with families for students
• Official dinner for teachers in a restaurant in Aosta

Wednesday 13: AOSTA -BARD -TURIN

• 9.00 a.m. – 12.00 a.m. departure from Aosta by bus and visit to Fort of Bard (Museum of the Alps)
• Packed lunch at the castle + free time in the Medieval village
• Afternoon: transfer to Turin and bus tour of Turin
• Welcoming buffet at Liceo Gobetti

Thursday 14: TURIN

• 9.00 a.m.: Meeting at Liceo Gobetti with professors and pupils of the Italian classes.
• 11.00 a.m. tour of city centre
• Packet lunch
• 2.30-6.00 p.m.: Turin capital city / Comenius National Seminar “Let's learn to decide together: two years after” at Officine Grandi Riparazioni
• 6.00 students have some free time then go to families
• 8.00 p.m. Dinner at the seminar’s place for teachers.
• Students have dinner with families

Friday 15: TURIN

• 9.00 a.m. -1.00 p.m. Students visit the ‘SMAT’, Professors will be attending the Comenius Seminar: “the future setting up new project ideas”
• Packet lunch
• Free afternoon for students and teachers
• 15.30 Official meeting and distribution of certificates of attendance at Ufficio Provincia di Torino (Councillor of Culture)
• 8.00 p.m. Final dinner in a restaurant for teachers.
• Students with families
